Te Tou Piataata o Kuwi
Te Tou Piataata o Kuwi
This is a very early learning Kiwi kids' book. It has 36 pages of really beautiful, brightly coloured imagery. Kuwi is at it again in another delightfully simple story of Kuwi finding a shiny red object that has fallen from the sky. Such a gift she knows what to do with, it's a brand new shiny bum. This is the Te Reo Māori translation. Ka pai!
From Pekakepa Pohe to Tīrairaka, Mōrehu to Pīkoko and Kākāpō to Takahē a great Ka Nui Te Mihi takes place.
Written and Illustrated by Kat Quin (formerly Merewether) it is 25cm x 25cm.
Translated by Pānia Papa.
20 cents from each book purchased is donated to Kiwis for Kiwi as well as the 10% we send to your nomination of choice.
Kākāpō, also know as the Owl Parrot is a large, flightless, ground dwelling Parrot endemic to New Zealand and wait for it, lives for 40 -80 years! Of course these facts mean they face a tough time against introduced nasties. As of writing, there are only 199 alive today. A concerted recovery effort is underway but gee what a challenge it is.
