This puzzle is an abstract picture of the boisterous Tūī perching on a flax flower in the New Zealand countryside.
Although Tūī appear black from a distance, they actually have a combination of iridescent black, blue and green sheens combined with dark reddish and bronze sheens with unique, curled white feather tufts on the neck.
Tūī play an important role in our forest dynamics as they are one of the most common pollinators of flowering plants and also disperse seeds of trees. Tūī are widespread all over our beautiful country except Canterbury which is an interesting footnote.
Puzzles are wonderful, perennial learning tools for children. They are great not only for spatial awareness and concentration but also for tactile improvement and dexterity.
These puzzles have 30 pieces and are 38cm x 26cm.
