Yep, another awesome Kiwi story! So the main material is Pihepe wool. Ok, so Pihepe who? These guys are Pitt Island Wild Sheep. And, Pitt Island (part of the Chatham Islands) is the most Southern and Eastern inhabited island in the world. Rugged sheep from a rugged place and rugged as wool.
The lovely peeps Roger and Nicki from Wyld lived on the Chathams for 17 years before relocating to Banks Peninsula on the South Island of New Zealand, bringing 8 ewes and 2 rams with them. There, they have bred and developed these guys through natural selection providing them a free and wild life. The vision then blossomed through Wyld to create unique fibres of outstanding quality by combining the wonderful diversity of nature, the backbone being easy care, ethical and organic sheep.
These are start to finish, completely made in New Zealand!!! How good! And with the sheep being organically grown and possum ethically sourced, you get a really nice feel good feeling when wearing them. These woolen garments allow you to adapt to your environment in the same way the sheep's wool adapts to its environment.
